Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software / Web Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance to support enterprise GEOINT applications within an NGA mission environment.
The developer will work on an Agile/SAFe team to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain mission-critical web and software applications. This position supports the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and utilizes enterprise DevSecOps and CI/CD environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise web and software applications.
- Translate user and mission requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Develop clean, secure, maintainable, and testable code.
- Build automated unit and integration tests and resolve software defects.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Utilize enterprise DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines for application builds and deployments.
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, geospatial systems, and enterprise data sources.
- Support applications across development, test, and production environments.
- Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and infrastructure issues.
- Participate in SAFe/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Maintain technical documentation and recommend improvements to performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility to obtain a CI Polygraph.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline, or equivalent education/training and professional or military experience.
- Strong development experience with one or more of the following: Python, Java, JavaScript, React, .NET, or Visual Basic.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Nexus.
- Experience with SQL and enterprise databases.
- Experience deploying applications to on-premises/data-center environments.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Agile/Scrum, and DevSecOps.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- Red Hat OpenShift
- AWS/cloud infrastructure
- Elasticsearch
- PostgreSQL
- HTML, CSS/Sass/Less, JavaScript, and React
- Helm or Terraform
- REST APIs and microservices
- ArcGIS, MapInfo, or other geospatial technologies
- Dashboards, workflow automation, and data integration
- NGA systems, GEOINT workflows, imagery databases, or Intelligence Community mission systems
Mission Environment
The developer will support enterprise GEOINT and imagery capabilities within an NGA environment. Work may include imagery ingestion, validation, tracking, dissemination, geospatial product management, data integration, and mission workflow automation.
Experience with systems such as GIMS, GDATM, GRMS, MARGE, AMSD, DPPDB, UCAP, GMM, or related NGA/GEOINT systems is a plus.
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
